Guyanese charged with cocaine in Barbados

A Guyanese woman is set to appear in court in Barbados tomorrow on cocaine charges, after she was held at the airport on arrival on the island last week.

According to the Barbados Today online, Sachiel Sundaba Peters, 37, was interviewed by police when she arrived on the island by air from Trinidad and Tobago on July 25. She was then referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she passed 102 packages of cocaine weighing 1.5 kg, the report said.

She was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation, the report added.
