Enterprise Youth Development Group spreads cheer at Hope home

The children of the Hope Children’s Home in Enmore received an early visit from Santa last Sunday, when they were treated with party bags and ice cream.

The visit was organized by the Enterprise Youth Development Group, the volunteers of which made their way over to the orphanage after the group’s Christmas party in Enterprise.

Santa Claus and his helpers, the volunteers from the Enterprise Youth Development group, are pictured here with the children of the Hope Children’s Home, during their visit last Sunday.

“They loved him so much and chatted with him. Then we also gave out the scrumptious party bags and ice cream that we had for them.

They looked so ecstatic… we thought we would have had to leave Santa,” the group’s President Samantha Sheoprashad commented.

The Enterprise Youth Development Group is a non-governmental organization that dedicates its time to development activities for youths from the East Coast villages of Enterprise, Enterprise Gardens, Coldingen, Nonpareil and Block XX.

Sheoprashad related that in the upcoming year the group hopes to visit another home. Anyone desirous of making contributions to this cause can visit the group’s Facebook page ‘Enterprise Youth Development Group,’ or make contact on 653-1567 or 639-4661.
