Dear Editor,
I wish to commend the government and the city council for the clean-up campaign but unfortunately many areas remained untouched.
I live in Newtown and no cleaning has been done to the Duncan Street or Middleton Street canals. These canals need to be desilted as soon as possible. The Middleton Street canal is full of weeds and slush.
I should be grateful if the authorities could take notice.
