A Berbice man was yesterday remanded to prison on two counts of rape.
The unrepresented man appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court, where he faced the charges of raping two girls aged 13 and 12 years old.
Magistrate Rhondell Weaver refused bail for the 48-year-old watchman and he was remanded to prison. His next court appearance is set for February 28.
