Dear Editor,
Please let me voice my sympathy for the Speaker of the Guyanese Parliament, upon yet another reminder to him that there are no hallowed precincts left in Guyana.
When that video recording can be criticised by one whose audio recording was defended by the highest in the land, we know that judgement – nay, the very concept of decent behaviour – has fled to the Guyanese norm of degradation.
I have to repeat what I wrote you several years ago – these are times I am glad to be so very far behind.
