Please refer to a letter captioned ‘Process I encountered to recoup bail money from city has potential to promote corrupt behaviour’ which appeared in the Monday, July 17 edition of your newspaper. We thank Mr Clinton Conway, Assistant Commissioner of Police (retired) for bringing this very sensitive issue to our attention. Indeed, observations like these would help us to see our operations through the lens of our most valued citizens and allow us the opportunity to improve our service delivery.
We would like to assure citizens that we are taking the necessary steps to improve the system relating to the refund of bail money.
