Cops probing report of Cuyuni murder

A party of police from ‘F’ Division has been deployed to Quartz Stone backdam,  Cuyuni, to probe a reported murder, Commander Kevin Adonis said last night.

Adonis, who is presently acting as commander said that after they received information via radio  yesterday afternoon, a team of investigators was sent to begin investigations.

The acting commander explained that they were unable to receive a clear message on what transpired due to the poor radio signal.

“We just acted on what we received and a team was sent to the location,” he said, while adding that ranks would take approximately 12 hours to arrive at the location.
