Defending Champions Chase Academy seal knockout berth, beat Annandale 4-0

Three-time defending champion Chase Academy pounded Annandale 4-0 to earn their berth to the knockout round when the Sixth Milo Schools Football Championship resumed yesterday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.

In a match that was forced to be replayed due to a power failure on February 20th, the titlist romped to the victory in a battle of the unbeaten teams, following goals from Jeremy Garrett, Rashawn Ritch, Rondell Peters and Nicholas McArthur in the 16th, 37th, 55th and 65th minutes each.

In other results, Sir Leon Lessons brushed aside St. Roses 5-0. Zion Grey, Luckort Forde, Julian Bamfield, Ryan Ramsay and Teon Forde scored in the 19th, 45th, 49th, 54th and 59th minute respectively.

Similarly, the Bishops’ High dismantled School of the Nations 9-0. Jeremiah Joseph fashioned a hat-trick in the 36th, 57th and 66th minutes, whilst Lamar Williams bagged a brace in the 40th and 49th minutes.

Contributing goals in the 24th, 52nd, 63rd and 64th minute apiece were Owen Jones, Romeo Bradford, Darren Chan and Brandon Walters. The event resumes today at the same venue.
