Tobago: Man shot dead in supermarket robbery

(Trinidad Guardian) One Com­mu­ni­ty Emer­gency Re­sponse Team (CERT) em­ploy­ee, who moon­light­ed as a se­cu­ri­ty of­fi­cer with MI4 Se­cu­ri­ty Ser­vices, was shot dead ear­ly this morn­ing at Pen­nysavers Su­per­mar­ket, Carn­bee, To­ba­go.

ACP To­ba­go Ver­non Roberts has con­firmed that at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 1:20 am on Fri­day, Mark Nurse was shot dead by two masked men.

His fel­low fe­male of­fi­cer, who al­so was shot, was tak­en to the Scar­bor­ough Hos­pi­tal.

Mark Nurse was part of the se­cu­ri­ty de­tail re­mov­ing the su­per­mar­ket’s sales for the day.

His death brings To­ba­go’s 2019 mur­der toll to 9.
