The Management of the Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation (DHBC) today announced that effective from January 2nd, 2020, the weight for all categories of vehicles crossing the bridge will be reduced.
In an advertisement in the Sunday Stabroek, the DHBC management said that the weight of all categories will be reduced from 22.5 metric tonnes to 18 metric tons and the special crossing from 25 to 22 metric tons.
The advertisement provided no explanation but said that the management of the DHBC regrets any inconvenience caused.
