The cause of death of 15-year-old Mae’s student Vanica Schultz remains “undetermined” following a post-mortem conducted yesterday.

A statement from the Guyana Police Force explained that the post-mortem examination which was conducted by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh was unable to determine the cause of death.

“Body contents, blood and urine samples were extracted to be tested and analyzed,” it added while noting that the body has been handed over to relatives for burial.

Schultz died last Thursday at the Woodlands Hospital where she was rushed after falling ill at school. It was later discovered that the teen, who distributed suicide notes to her classmates and teachers, had ingested a poisonous substance.
