Former accountant of the Guyana Rice Development Board (GRDB) Peter Ramcharran was today sentenced to three years in jail after being found guilty of one charge of falsification of account.
The sentence was handed down by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court One.
The charge alleged that Ramcharran, while being the accountant of the GRDB, omitted to enter $145 million in the GRDB ledger during the year 2015.
