President Irfaan Ali today elevated three attorneys to the status of Senior Counsel.
Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Anil Nandlall, Timothy Jonas and Jamela Ali were conferred with silk at the Baridi Benab in State House, a release from the Office of the President said.
The appointments follow today’s ruling by High Court Judge Nareshwar Harnanan that the President has the authority to elevate lawyers to the status of Senior Counsel.
