A search is currently underway for patients of the National Psychiatric Hospital who went missing tonight after a fire was started in a ward at the facility.
Some patients have also been injured and have been rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital
Regional Chairman David Armogan, last evening around 9 pm confirmed that the fire was under control and that the police were actively searching for the persons who have escaped.
Armogan said, that based on the initial information he received the fire was started in the ceiling of the ward.
