First Lady Arya Ali visited the maternity ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) on Christmas Day.
A release from her office said that the First Lady visited and interacted with the mothers of newborns and presented them with hampers and care packages. A quantity of hampers and care packages was also sent to the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
As of 4:00PM yesterday afternoon, GPHC had recorded ten births for the day - five boys and five girls.
