Police Constable 23131 Hill was today charged with the offence of Simple Larceny, Contrary to Section 66 (c) of the Summary Jurisdiction (Offences) Act Chapter 8:02, committed on Ravindra Singh, a 27-year-old businessman of Hubu Public Road, East Bank Essequibo.
The incident occurred on April 14th, 2022 at Singh’s business place at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, the police said in a statement today.
Constable Hill appeared at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul.
He pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to him, and he was granted $10,000.
The case was postponed until the 3rd June, 2022 for report.
