Sumintra Shaw, an 85-year-old woman who was expected to celebrate her birthday today was killed this morning at her Bush Lot, West Coast Berbice residence.
Police are currently at the scene conducting an investigation.
Stabroek News was told that the woman’s caretaker has since claimed that two persons invaded the premises around 3 am today during which the woman was stabbed multiple times.
Residents in the area expressed shock at the news this morning saying that the elderly woman was a quiet person.
