Construction of the first forty-eight homes is progressing under the Lethem Housing Support Programme, the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CHPA) said today.

The homes are being built at the New Culvert City Housing Scheme and Tabatinga Housing Scheme, Lethem, Region Nine. Each unit measures approximately 550 square feet and features two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen and sanitary facilities, the CHPA said.

The Lethem Housing Support Programme is a commitment by President Irfaan Ali. Some six hundred Lethem residents are targeted to benefit from the initiative. Bricks and timber for the homes are being drawn from communities within the region including St. Ignatius, Shulinab, Kwatamang, Shea and Surama, the CHPA said.
