Eight young persons have died in three accidents last night and this morning at Unity, Mahaica, Canal No 2 Polder, West Bank Demerara and No. 11 Village, East Berbice, the police say.
Four teens died in the Canal accident this morning. They are:
** *Daveanand Singh*, the 17-year-old driver of the car involved in the accident and from Lot 1566 Providence, EBD;
** *Ameisha Jaikarran*, a 19-year-old of La Grange Old Road, WBD;
** *Deviane Narine*, an 18-year-old of Kitty, Georgetown
** *Daniel Tribani*, a 19-year-old from La Grange, WBD.
Those who died at Mahaica last night are: motorcyclist 21-year-old Elijah Pellew of Lot 38 Unity, Mahaica, 21-year-old pillion rider Raymond Rose of Lot 57 Supply Mahaica and Shawn Persaud, a 19-year-old of Huntley Mahaicony, ECD.
And this morning Rahul Thakoor, of Lot 19 Angoys Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice died on the No. 11 Village, East Berbice road after his motorcycle came into contact with another, the police say.
