Foreign Minister meets ABC, EU envoys on Guyana’s security council priorities

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hugh Todd yesterday met with Nicole D. Theriot, Ambassador of the United States of America to Guyana; European Union Ambassador,  Rene van Nes;  Omasan Judy Kpogho of the High Commission of the United Kingdom to Guyana and  Caroline Mireault of the High Commission of Canada to Guyana.

During the meeting, a release from the ministry said that Todd and the Ambassadors and representatives of the ABC and EU discussed Guyana’s United Nations Security Council tenure thematic areas of priority, consultations and the leadership of Pesident Irfaan Ali, during Guyana’s Presidency of the Council in February 2024.

The Ambassadors and representatives of the ABC and EU also conveyed the commitment of their respective Governments to work with Guyana prior to and during its tenure on the Council in advancing the priorities of the United Nations agenda, the release said.
