Rovin James of Charity Extension Scheme, Essequibo Coast, appeared at the Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court yesterday before Magistrate Dylon Bess, where the charge of ‘Causing Death by Dangerous Driving’ was read to him.
He was not required to plead. However, he was granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
His next court appearance is scheduled for 2024-02-07.
This case relates to an incident which occurred on 2022-02-09 on Eyelash Main Access Road, North West District, involving an unregistered ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) ridden by James. Nigel Knights, the pillion rider on the ATV, died in the incident.
