Prime Minister Mark Phillips was on site for the landing of Digicel Guyana’s newest submarine fibre optic cable at the Marriott beachfront in Kingston.
The Prime Minister was joined by Digicel Guyana’s leadership team including Chief Executive Officer, Deonarine Gopaul; Chief Technical Officer Marine Technology, Alasdair Wilkie; Engineering Director at GAEAQUATIC LTD, George Kritikos, and other technical experts.
The high-speed cable represents a major boost to the company’s local connectivity capacity, a release from the Prime Minister’s office said.
