Gas to energy company aiming to hire 100 persons here

Lindsayca + CH4 (LNDCH4 Guyana), the US company that will be executing the country’s ambitious gas-to-energy project today announced it is seeking to hire 100 persons here this year.  

In a release today, it announced the hiring of 10+ Guyanese contractors and employees and said it is currently conducting interviews to hire more personnel in the upcoming weeks.

“LNDCH4’s groundbreaking gas-to-energy project will strengthen Guyana’s energy capacity and also generate a multitude of employment opportunities to foster robust economic growth in the country. This milestone highlights our steadfast commitment to supporting the local workforce and fostering regional growth through meaningful employment opportunities”, the release said.

As part of its ongoing expansion and sustainability initiatives, the release said that LNDCH4 – along with its subcontractors – aims to hire 100 more employees in 2024.

“We are proactively recruiting skilled professionals, contractors, and personnel who share our passion for driving positive change and contributing to a greener future. By employing talent from Guyana, we reaffirm our dedication to promoting economic development, while reducing our environmental impact”, it said.

Shameeza Alfred, a Guyanese who is currently employed as Environmental Supervisor, was quoted as saying “Being involved in a project like this one, which will impact the country in the most beneficial way has been exciting. Not only does it allow me to learn but also be listened to. I am respected for my ideas and pushed forward to develop my skills. This project supports the integration of my own personal mission into the organization’s mission”.

LNDCH4 said it remains dedicated to creating additional job opportunities and supporting local businesses in the process.
