Shuman moving to set up airline, resigns as aviation adviser

Leader of the Liberty and Justice Party, Lenox Shuman today announced his intention to establish a national airline.

In a release issued today, he announced that he has resigned as an aviation advisor to the government “so as to avoid accusations of corruption or conflict of interest”.

In a letter to President Irfaan Ali announcing his resignation, Shuman, a pilot,  said that this was being done to facilitate  the  establishing of a Guyanese Airline – El’Dorado Airlines Inc.

“We anticipate a launch date of 20 August 2024 and look forward to the Government’s support”, he said.
