Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance, Gail Teixeira has been hospitalised.
Sources say she is being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Teixeira is the government Chief Whip and has an important role during the ongoing budget examination process.
This morning, at today’s sitting of the Committee of Supply, the Chairman, Manzoor Nadir said that Teixeira had messaged him this morning to say that she had experienced an oxygen issue and went to the hospital for that. She said that the doctors then recommended that she remain in the hospital overnight.
