Yesterday, at his Brickdam Headquarters, the Minister of Health, Dr Frank Anthony, accompanied by his Advisor, Dr Leslie Ramsammy, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Malcolm Watkins, met with a delegation from the European Union Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (EU-TAIEX).
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss their efforts on health resilience and vaccine production in Guyana.
Among the visiting team were, Gytis Andrulionis from the State Medicine Control Agency in Lithuania; Lorenzo Montrasio, Advisor on Health Equity to the Minister of Family, Natality, and Equal Opportunity from the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA); and Daniel Fernández from the Division of Biologicals, Advance Therapies, and Biotechnology at the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Products (AEMPS) in Spain.
