Girl guides association celebrates 100th anniversary

The Guyana Girl Guides Association today celebrated 100 years of empowering girls and young women all across the country.

While delivering remarks, Mignon Bowen-Phillips, wife of Prime Minister Mark Phillips stressed the crucial role that the association has played in moulding thousands of young Guyanese women for the past years, the Department of Public Information (DPI) reported.

The event was held at the Girl Guides Ground on Brickdam.
