(Trinidad Express) A couple likely drowned when their car overturned and crashed into the sea in Chaguaramas on Sunday night.
Dead are 25-year-old Jeraldin Matamoro of Maraval and 28-year-old Akel Mark Thomas of Diego Martin.
Witness say the vehicle went into the water at high speed after being seen overtaking vehicles along the road near the O2 Park.
The area is popular with people involved in recreational fishing.
Several people went into the water and pulled the couple out of the vehicle.
They performed CPR.
Fire fighters and paramedics also responded but it was too late.
