Investment, research to advance livestock sector – Ramsammy

The Ministry of Agricul-ture plans to take the livestock sector to new heights through investment and research in livestock husbandry, the completion of the US$2.5M veterinary lab and the development of a small ruminant farm.

Procurement officers undergo training to handle big-dollar projects

Procurement officers have undergone training on best-practices for assessing bids for big projects funded by development banks, in-cluding the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Females now part of maritime training

The Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) for the first time in the history of the Department  has employed females as part of its cadet training, a statement from MARAD said yesterday.
