Market vendors protest removal following explosion

Over fifty vendors this morning took to the streets protesting the dismantling of their stalls around the Stabroek Market area following the explosion outside the market yesterday morning which left one man dead and 19 injured.

Grenade fragments found

Fragments of a grenade were discovered at the scene of an explosion at the Stabroek Market Square yesterday, which killed one man and injured 18 other persons, according to the police.

Stalls near market explosion site dismantled

Stallholders operating in the vicinity of yesterday’s explosion outside the Stabroek Market were ordered to dismantle their stalls and did so under the supervision of City Constabulary officers who later removed the wood and other material in a vehicle.
