Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS), a leading Indian call centre company has expressed interest in establishing operations in Guyana, according to a release today from the Office of the Prime Minister.

Exxon tamps down oil jobs hopes

Top officials of oil firm ExxonMobil yesterday cautioned against expectations of a large number of direct employment opportunities to be generated by the company’s production activities here, while saying that it will be the government’s responsibility to create jobs using revenue that is earned from the operation.

UG, UWI collaborative agreement on agenda for CLE summit

Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney-General Basil Williams will be attending the 48th meeting of the Council of Legal Education (CLE) in Antigua & Barbuda, from September 1st to September 4th, and among the issues to be discussed are financial contributions to the council and the collaborative legal agreement between the University of Guyana (UG) and the University of the West Indies (UWI).
