Jamaica: Student killed, 23 injured after bus plunges into ravine

(Jamaica Observer) BLACK HILL, Portland — One male Titchfield High student is dead and 23 others from that school, as well as Port Antonio High, are now in hospital after the minibus in which they were travelling plunged 70 metres into a ravine and landed on its four wheels.

Jamaica: Suspected fake doctor not verified

(Jamaica Gleaner) Alleged quack doctor Alicia England was denied bail yesterday when she made her second appearance in the St James Parish Court to answer to fraud charges as her true identity has not yet been verified despite a previous court order to have this done.
