Dear Editor, I make reference to the article captioned ‘Unsettled weather not a factor in sugar decline’ in your January 6 edition, and note with disbelief the GuySuCo Commission of Inquiry in its report stating that “unsettled weather has not been a factor in the ‘precipitate’ decline in cane yields and sugar output, rather it has been a case of a shortage of cash and poor agricultural practices”.
