Changes in police divisional command

Police last evening announced major changes in its divisional command, including the appointment of a woman, who was the former deputy head of the Immigration Department.

A release said that this is a result of Assistant Commissioner Clinton Conway and Assistant Commissioner Welton Trotz proceeding on retirement and retirement leave respectively.

With effect from today Assistant Commissioner Leroy Brumell will be in command of “A” Division (Georgetown), Assistant Commissioner Krishna Lekhraj in command of “B” Division (Berbice), Senior Superintendent Balram Persaud in command of “C” Division (East Coast Demerara) and Woman Assistant Commissioner Paulette Morrison in command of “D” Division (West Coast Demerara).
