The top performers of the 2007 Banks Premium Beer Cup 16-team knockout football tournament will be presented with their prizes today at a Presentation Ceremony at head office of the sponsors,beverage giants Banks DIH, Thirst Park.

Pele Football Club emerged winners of the tournament with a 2-1 win over Sunburst Camptown in the final played recently at the Tucville Playfield.

Pele will receive the Banks Premium Beer Cup plus the $250,000 first prize, while Camptown will collect $125, 000 for placing second.

Alpha United who defeated Santos for third place will carry home $75,000, while Santos will receive $50,000.

Travis Grant of Pele was voted the Most Valuable Player, Anthony “Awo” Abrams – the highest goal scorer, Shemroy Arthur – the best goalkeeper and Santos the most disciplined team.

General Secretary of the Georgetown Football Association Marlan Cole will present the tournament report while there will be remarks by Troy Mendonca GFA President and Brian Choo-Hen, Premium Beer Brand Manager.

The 16-team knockout tournament attracted seven premier teams and nine division one clubs affiliates of the GFA.
