With less than a month to go before the biggest showdown of the year in the ring, local boxers inked contracts for the ‘Judgement Day’ matches at Abdool and Abdool Insurance Brokers Inc on Tuesday.
The main event: the Middleweight title of Guyana between ‘Deadly’ Denny Dalton and the USA’s Rawle Frank of the USA is set for July 5 at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. Other matches on the card include a Featherweight bout between Cecil Smith and Charlton Skeete; the Middleweight match between Michael De Mattos and Trinidad and Tobago’s (T&T) Joel McRae; the Female Heavyweight match between T&T’s Andrea Duncan and Shelly Gibson and Pamela London defending her local Heavyweight title against Veronica Blackman.
The Guyana Boxing Board of Control is promoting the matches.
