Businessman Souvenir Ramdehol will sponsor a USA-based Guyana team to this year’s North American Teams table tennis tournament in Baltimore, Maryland.

The championships will begin this morning and end on Sunday.
According to former Caribbean men’s singles champion Sydney Christophe, Ramdehol has agreed to sponsor the Guyana team which will include a number of former and current national players.

Apart from the evergreen Christophe himself, the Guyana team is expected to include current national player Paul David, Sean `Milky’ Embleton and Wayne Gaskin.

The 2008 Joola North American Teams table tennis championships will see some 244 teams which will include a number of international players competing for US$20,000 in prize money.
