Stabbed Port Kaituma man air-dashed to city

A 35-year-old Port Kaituma man was air-dashed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) yesterday afternoon after sustaining several stab wounds about the body.

Cheddi Dawson of Citrus Drive, Port Kaituma, North West District was taken to the GPH at approximately 2.30 pm for emergency surgery.  He sustained multiple stab wounds following an altercation with another man.

The man spent several hours in the operating theatre and was admitted to the Male Surgical Ward shortly after 6 pm last evening. Hospital sources reported that Dawson is in stable condition.
