Gregory Erskine is new chief city engineer

The Mayor and City Council announced yesterday the appointment of Gregory Erskine as the  new Chief City Engineer with effect from April 1, 2009.
A press release from the Public Relations Division said that Erskine  who  has a Master’s  degree in Con2

struction Management from the University of the West Indies, St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago,  brings to the council six years of experience in the field of civil engineering.

He also holds a  Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Guyana, the release said, and  citizens stand to benefit from  his  expertise and experience.
He heads the City Engineer’s Department  with  duties and responsibilities according to the Municipal and District Councils Act, Chapter  28:01, and the Council, the release added.
