Motorcyclist in No. 5 Public Road collision succumbs

A 32-year-old motorcyclist has succumbed to his injuries, some two days after he was involved in an accident with a car on the Number 5 Public Road, Corriverton, Berbice.

Dead is 32-year-old, Mahendra Singh, of Number 76 Housing Scheme, Corriverton, Berbice.

Police in Regional Division 6 stated that the accident occurred on May 4th on the Number 5 public road, Corriverton, Ber-bice between a motorcycle and a car driven by a 26-year-old man of Number 51 Village, Coren-tyne, Berbice.

Narine sustained injuries and was hospitalised at the Georgetown Public Hospital where he succumbed on Monday.

An autopsy performed by government pathologist, Nehaul Singh, on Narine’s body, revealed that he died as a result of a fractured skull due to a vehicular accident.

Narine’s body was identified by his brother Adrian Narine. The body of the deceased was handed over to relatives for funeral arrangements.
