Dear Editor,
I am always proud of the United States of America for its humanitarian efforts. There are many in the world who wish to curse America, but when a crisis hits any country, even if it is a known antagonist of the US, the latter is always ready to deploy to save lives. Whether it is hurricanes, wildfires, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, terror attacks, aircraft crashes and disappearances, the US will utilize its resources to assist. In any crisis anywhere, Americans are always the first there.
I am overjoyed to see so many personnel from the US Air Force and volunteers in the New Horizons Guyana Project, building and renovating schools, constructing health centres and medical outreaches, assisting Food for the Poor, the Georgetown Public Hospital and others. I heard the dental support was tremendous. .
I wish the US Air Force civil engineers from the New Horizon Guyana a great stay as they help our people.
