Lusignan Cricket Club (LCC)  ‘A’ team were crowned the 2008 Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Hand–in-Hand champions  on Saturday after they defeated Mc Gill Superstars by six wickets in the final at the Everest Cricket Club ground.

Winning the toss and batting first, Mc Gill Superstars were bowled out for 143 from 41.3 overs.
Rameshwar Persaud, 31, Prahalad Singh, 29 and Jagdesh Balgobin, 16, were the principal scorers while kumar Bissondial grabbed 4-23 for LCC.

In reply, Azham Haniff 58 and Man-of-the-Match, Narvan Singh, 53 not out, led Lusignan `A’ to 144-4 from 44.1 overs.
Sudesh Persaud claimed 2-37 for Mc Gill Superstars.
