Subscription rates for SN Web Edition starting December 1st

Guyana Publications Inc announced on Sunday, October 31st that the online versions of the Stabroek News and the Sunday Stabroek will begin charging for access to most of their content.

Stabroeknews.com had more than 4 million page views in October 2010 and is the highest ranked news and information website in  Guyana according to Google.com and Alexa.org

From December 1st, the website will feature a mix of free and paid content.  For paid content a non-subscriber will be able to view the first paragraph.

Several subscription plans are available for overseas subscribers and the rates will be as follows:

The semi-annual and annual subscriptions reflect

discounts of 5% and 10% respectively

Security for subscriber transactions is always a concern.

Guyana Publications Inc has partnered with 2checkout.com to process online subscription payments.  Our partnership with 2Checkout Inc allows subscribers to use Paypal and all major credit cards as forms of payment with the assurance of 2Checkout’s global reputation for safe and secure payments.

Alternatively payments can be made by subscribers here in local currency at Stabroek News’ Head Office at 46-47 Robb Street, Lacytown, Georgetown.

Readers will be able to pay in advance for their subscriptions beginning November 15th 2010 to ensure full uninterrupted access to the website.  Any payments made will cover the subscription period starting December 1st.
