(Trinidad Express) The daughter of a senior police officer was killed by bandits when she attempted to escape a bar robbery in San Fernando on Tuesday night.
Petra Tiesha Abraham was with friends at Ming’s Restaurant and Bar when two men walked in around 9.45 p.m. and pulled out guns.
They told patrons to lie on the floor, but Abraham turned and tried to run, police said.
The men fired two shots, and Abraham was hit in the back. She was taken to hospital by police officers who did not wait for paramedics but died soon after.
The killers left with nothing. Abraham, 20, was the daughter of Special Anti-Crime Unit (SAUTT) officer Phillip Abraham, and the niece of Acting Supt David Abraham, a homicide investigator.
