Dear Editor,
I am shocked to learn of another septic tank death of a toddler, this time in Kaneville as reported in Sunday’s SN. In both cases the septic tanks were covered with plywood. I ask the question, what is the building code for such tanks and is there a monitoring process for safety?
My sympathy to the parents and I trust that there will be a review by parents to ensure we do not have a recurrence.
