Dear Editor,

I am all for standards generally, but they must be relevant and able to achieve the desired objectives. I am confused, however, when it comes to a dress code for women which excludes them from wearing armless dresses. This form of dress is acceptable in most churches in Guyana, and Michelle Obama, the First Lady of America, is an advertisement for this mode of dress at international functions.

I believe that décolletage should have attracted some attention in drafting this dress code, as in some cases there is almost nudity.

Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
