GCA call up 38 for U19 Inter-County tourney

- trials get underway today at Malteenoes Sports Club ground

Thirty-eight Under19 cricketers will be in action this weekend as the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) embarks on preparation for the upcoming Demerara Cricket Board Inter Sub Association competition.

The players, who were selected by the junior selection committee of the GCA, will be in action today at the Malteenoes Sports Club ground and  are requested to be at the venue not later than 9am, a release the  from Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the GCA, Colin Alfred stated. The trials will continue tomorrow and Sunday at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown.

Players who are unavailable due to school commitments must notify assistant secretary Theresa Pemberton on telephone number 670-3535.

The 38 players are:- Dillon Fernandes, Raj Nanan, Kevin Ogle, Amir Khan, Chanderpaul Hemraj, Christopher Surat, Mohan Ramdeen, Andre Stoll, Shameer Fazal, Ricardo Devers, Seon Daniels, Kwame Cross, Shaquille Williams, Safraz Esau, Stephon Samson, Keith Haynes, Charwayne McPherson, Quincy Ovid-Richardson, Dexter Solomon, Devendra Deosarran, Abdul Raheem, Stephon Singh, Rajif Singh, Omesh Dhanram, Jason Bishop, Mertlon Warde, Gavin Charles, Carlos La Rose, Alex Ramalho, Clevon Hyman, Dino Choo-Wee-Nam, Trevon France, Dayanand Roopnarine, David Gravesande, Raphael Singh, Jaspaul Gangaram, Carlyle Collins and Neil Barry jnr.
