WDDA stages dominoes competition today

The West Demerara Dominoes Association (WDDA) will stage the Goed-Intent Policing Group dominoes competition today from 6:30pm at the ‘A’ Plus Domino Club, Murphy St, Goed Intent.

The competition will entail matches among nine teams namely; Frankie, Ton, Shattaz, `A’ Plus, Goed Intent Policing Group, Even Six, Pappit , Unified Star and Seven Thousand Dominoes Club.

Cash prizes will be up for grabs for the top three teams, who will then move on to battle for the lien trophy in the final round which will be played on Wednesday from 6:30pm at Frankie’s Domino Club, Goed Intent.

President of the WDDA, Godfrey Samuels, said that the association was using the tournament to warm up for their participation in two upcoming countrywide competitions.

“We are trying to get the teams ready for the countrywide Supligen Domino Competition which will be launched on Thursday as well for the DDL “El Dorado Rum” competition which will be held sometime next month,” Samuels said.

Teams will be charged an entrance fee of $3000.
