Friends and colleagues in the entertainment business of comedian and actor Henry Rodney will come together tomorrow night to cool the blaze that totally destroyed Rodney’s home earlier this month in the form a benefit concert to assist in the rebuilding process.

‘Cooling the Blaze’ is the theme under which the concert will be held when the many artistes take to the stage of the National Cultural Centre  to sing, dance and act in an effort to bring joy to the heart of the man who has brought laughter to many over the years.

Earlier this month the Rodneys’ home was one of the two that was totally destroyed when a woman – who lived in the bottom flat of the house the Rodneys rented – started a blaze which destroyed all of their worldly possessions.

The concert is being coordinated by The Actors Action Association in collaboration with Artistes in Direct Support. Among those slated to perform are Margaret Lawrence, Desiree Edgill, Russell Lancaster, Kester D, Sean Bhola Neaz Subhan, Nazim Hussain Michelle ‘Big Red’ King and the National School of Dance among many others.

Tickets for the event cost $1,000 and $500.
