The Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation said it conducted emergency works on the bridge last Monday.
According to a press release, two transoms were removed and new ones installed at junction 38/39 of the bridge. The operation was conducted from 1 am to 4.30 am, an hour and a half ahead of schedule.
Management apologizes to the public for any inconvenience caused and extends gratitude for their cooperation and patience during the exercise.
